HELLO!
A little about me...
I am a self-taught artist, designer, and creative living in Austin, Texas. I grew up in the Bay Area of California, about 40 minutes south of San Francisco. I began painting at a young age when I inherited my late grandmother's beloved paint brushes. I was constantly painting, drawing, coloring, and building, and took my first art class in middle school. It wasn't until my high school art class, that I discovered my love for acrylic paints. While attending college in Santa Barbara, CA, I continued my love of painting while also pursuing a new passion - photography. I was gifted a Nikon D40 for Christmas and began to take it everywhere. Once I learned Photoshop in my college course, I was hooked.
My creative pursuits continued throughout my adult years, learning everything from typography, calligraphy, and eventually graphic design. I spent almost 5 years living in beautiful San Francisco, CA and found inspiration everywhere - from the beautiful, handwritten signs in restaurants, to the unique, never-ending wall murals that took over blocks of the cityscape. The inspiration continued in my move to Austin, Texas, where I began a career in the art reproduction industry. Having hands on experience with digital arts, graphic design, art trends, and interior design has been a great resource for learning and helping to find my artistic voice.
When I'm not painting or designing, I like to spend my time cooking, listening to live music, getting my sweat on in spin or Pilates classes, hiking with my giant, lovable dog, Mae Bear, traveling with my fiance, or checking out the newest breakfast taco joint in Austin.
